Is Hydrogen Peroxide a Medical “Miracle”?

This article says that Hydrogen Peroxide (food grade, diluted to 3% concentration) used to be ubiquitous and was used in curing a lot of things like "whooping cough, cholera, typhoid fever, ulcers, tuberculosis, and asthma." But the drug industry came up with more expensive drugs and dropped hydrogen peroxide as a cure, I'm thinking because it doesn't put as much money into their pockets.
